Hello
I’m Patricia—though some friends call me Shim, a nickname inspired by the playful way a child might say sim (Portuguese for "yes").
My creative journey started at 17, designing costumes for theatre with companies like Cão Danado, A Turma, GrETUA, and Artistas Unidos. I’ve also ventured into film, taking on wardrobe and art direction alongside talents such as Ágata de Pinho and Leonor Teles.
In 2016, I swapped fabric for ink, becoming a tattoo artist and traveling the world to leave permanent art on people’s skin.
These days, I focus on illustration, collaborating with clients like APF (Associação para o Planeamento Familiar), Oli, Ambar, Bloco de Esquerda, and Herbes Folles.
Currently, I’m immersed in creating a comic book, supported with a grant from the Portuguese arts and culture ministry, while splitting my time between Florence, Italy, and Lisbon, Portugal.
